I would like to recommend to you an excellent resource for biblical education and spiritual growth. It's a website:
At this website you can listen to short, two minute answers to a whole host of common questions Christians often have about a variety of subjects about Christianity and the Bible. The answers are provided by respected pastor, Bible teacher, and author, John MacArthur. Here's a sample list of questions:
1.) How soon should you be baptized after believing?
2.) What is a "weak conscience"?
3.) Why was Jesus baptized?
4.) Should Christians keep the Sabbath?
5.) What does it mean to "provoke your children"?
Next to each audio clip there's a link called "Read from the Commentary" where you can explore the same question beyond John MacArthur's two minute response.
Maybe you and your spouse take your laptop, sit down in bed before you go to sleep, and listen to a handful of these short answers. They can be great conversation starters.
"And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God."- Colossians 1:9-10
