Looking For God's Will?

If you're looking for a great book on the will of God, this is it. I love the title, I love the author, and I especially love the wisdom in this book. The title is utterly hilarious. I went to seminary with this guy at Gordon-Conwell. He's also been a leading voice against the Emergent movement.
Get this book if you want biblical wisdom about discerning God's will and you are tired of some of the
ridiculous, frustrating, conventional wisdom you find in the evangelical and charismatic worlds today.

Wow- I think it was God's will for me to see this book on God's will that you posted here. ; ) (wink!) I'm seriously interested though. I've had this same thought ("just DO something") before when trying to motivate myself or when pondering God's will for... way too long. There's a book I read a couple of years ago called "Chasing Daylight" or "Seizing Your Divine Moment" (known by both titles) by Erwin McManus, that was very similar to this line of thinking. It was the inspiration that lead me to go a head and try my hand at chef work and apply at Primo Grill. As you know, that didn't work out for long because the labor was too much for my wrists to handle. I felt I had failed in many ways there (not only in the physical realm of not being able to "handle" the work load, but also as a witness.) But now, in retrospect, I can see that my ultimate discouragement in not feeling missional at Primo Grill was the very impetus or fuel for starting the cooking club in my neighborhood that has now been going on for 18 months. May it continue for God's glory. Good find, bro.
